DIY Bath Paints with JOHNSON’S® Baby Products

Ever wanted to add fun to bath time, but weren't quite sure how to? Thanks to Crowdtap, JOHNSON'S Baby and The Girls with Glasses, I was able to make DIY bath paints for my little one, and you can make them too!

There are super easy to make and you probably have most of the ingredients at home.

All you need is:

• Cornstarch
• Sponges
• Baby Wash
• Food Safe Coloring
• Sandwich-Sized Stackable Containers with Lids
• Stencils (optional)
• Scissors
• Water

I went to Dollar Tree for the sponges, food-safe coloring and the containers that have two separate compartments (one side for paint and the other for sponges). I bought the Johnson's baby bedtime bath on clearance at my local grocery store. So as you can see, this project is inexpensive as well as easy and fun!

How to make:

In a bowl, mix 1/3 cup cornstarch, 1/3 cup Johnson's baby wash, and 2 tbsps. of water.

Once it is smooth, add a couple drops of food-safe coloring, I used anywhere between 1-3 drops, and mix again.

Now you can pour it into your container. Next cut up the sponges with scissors, you can use the stencils for this part. I opted out of the stencils and just free handed it. I chose to cut out the letters of my daughter's name and I did a "2" for her age, plus a variety of shapes.

This is also a great project to do with your older children as a helper.

One of the great things about these bath paints is that they are super easy to store until they are ready to be used.

My little girl absolutely loved these paints! She totally ignored splashing around in the water like she usually does and went straight to work "painting" the shower wall. I only brought out one color, because space is an issue in our small bathroom area, but she couldn't care less she was having too much fun.

I recently had the chance to sample some great new products from Campbell's. There were quite a few hits and some misses. 

Let's start with a hit...Campbell's Slow Kettle soup. So yummy! The chicken noodle was amazing. I also tried tomato bisque when I had a cold and that one was good too, but I prefer the chicken noodle. The chicken noodle had so much flavor and just the right amount of chicken and yummy veggies. 

Now for a miss...Campbell's Chunky Beer-N-Cheese. I thought for sure I would love this one, but I just didn't. The broth was too sweet and the taste kept reminding me of artificial banana flavoring. The bacon pieces were passable, nothing special. I ended up scooping out the potatoes and just eating those. I purchased the Campbell's Chunky Creamy Chicken & Dumplings and that one was delicious!

As far as the skillet, oven and slow cooker pouches from Campbell's are concerned, my family decided we liked them, and they saved time when making dinner, but they weren't full of flavor.

Campbell's Spaghettios Micros were a miss with me. I'm sure kids would love this product and they are super easy to make. I ended up eating half and tossing the rest.

Litter Genie - Cat Litter Disposal System

I got to try the Litter Genie for myself recently and I was pleased with the results. It is super easy to use and has a small footprint so it's great for small places. 

First the good:

• Easy to use
• Keeps the smell away

Unfortunately there is also some not so good:

• I could not get the included scoop and holder to stay on the system. I was able to successful attach one side to the side of the Litter Genie, but it would not allow for the system to completely close which defeats the purpose of the system.
• The refill bags cost just as much as the system.
• You have to tie off the bottom of the bag each time, so you have to make sure to tie it tightly each time.

I noticed that if your litter does not clump well that you will have a problem with the Litter Genie system. My cat's urine did not clump so if I tried to put that in on top, it would make a huge mess. I even had dirty litter in the base of the system after trying that method.

Spray It Like You Mean It - Zep Commercial Cleaners

I recently had the opportunity to try two great products from the Zep Commercial line of products. I received samples of both All-Around Oxy and Quick Clean Disinfectant.

I'm a little, okay A LOT, obsessed with cleaning so I started cleaning right away! I used the All-Around Oxy in the shower, on the toilet, the bathroom and kitchen sinks, the oven, a footstool that had a random brown (eww) stain on it, our glass coffee table and on an unfortunate urine stain on our mattress that occurred after we had our one year old daughter sleep in our bed.
