I got to try the Litter Genie for myself recently and I was pleased with the results. It is super easy to use and has a small footprint so it's great for small places.
First the good:
- Easy to use
- Keeps the smell away
Unfortunately there is also some not so good:
- I could not get the included scoop and holder to stay on the system. I was able to successful attach one side to the side of the Litter Genie, but it would not allow for the system to completely close which defeats the purpose of the system.
- The refill bags cost just as much as the system.
- You have to tie off the bottom of the bag each time, so you have to make sure to tie it tightly each time.
I noticed that if your litter does not clump well that you will have a problem with the Litter Genie system. My cat's urine did not clump so if I tried to put that in on top, it would make a huge mess. I even had dirty litter in the base of the system after trying that method.
